Nikhil Masters
I am a Lecturer in Economics at the University of Essex. My research is in behavioural economics with a focus on integrating interdisciplinary insights from cognitive sciences to better understand human decision-making.
Specific research areas include emotions in economic decisions, social information in dating markets, pain perception and pro-social behaviour, and the Behavioural Economics of Music (BEM) - a new interdisciplinary research programme at the intersection of economics and music psychology, solving real-world challenges related to the music industry.
